Good rocket motors are a terrible thing to waste

I am still rooting for ideas, and motivation for, a summer build. One thing I dug up is my old Heavenly Hobbies Backdraft. This rocket uses a retro rocket motor hidden under its nose cone to slow it down and eject its parachute.  While watching the weirdness that is "American Gods", I threw this together.

The Backdraft uses a fireworks fuse to time the retro motor while this one would use an altimeter's main ejection function to fire the three retros. That's three motor wasted. Or four if the altimeter fails. Either way, its pucker-factor would be a 10.

I won't build this one but thought I'd share it once I bothered to draw it.
