Nice article on the state of hybrid motor technology

IEEE Spectrum has a nice article by Stanford professor Brian J. Cantwell: Wax Fuel Gives Hybrid Rockets More Oomph. Dr. Cantwell, who is also a principal at the Space Propulsion Group, is researching advanced hybrids based on paraffin and either liquid oxygen or nitrous oxide. The article is packed with interesting factoids and discusses what is now, undoubtedly, the most well known hybrid rocket, i.e. the one that has been powering the SpaceShipTwo. This article is well worth the read.
