Launch rockets from NASA Goddard and learn about the LADEE mission

NASA's Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) in slated to launch from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (Wallops Flight Facility) on September 6th atop an Orbital Sciences Minotaur V. In an announcement from GSFC, the public is invited to launch model rockets September 1 from the Visitor Center at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md (the NARHAMS club runs the launch.). Sarah Noble, LADEE program scientist, will give a talk about the mission and Lora Bleacher, NASA educator, will be available to answer questions about the mission, the moon, and NASA's other recent lunar missions, including the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. The event starts at 1PM. Directions are provided via the linked announcement.
