CAM may be the future of construction on the Moon...and on Earth

Attached is a talk by Behrokh Khoshnevis, professor of Industrial & Systems Engineering at USC. He is working on an automated process for building construction and has a prototype in his lab. Funded by NASA for possible use in constructing structures on the moon, he believes that this technology is the future here on Earth too. His 'Contour Craft' concept promises to be able to build a typical 2500ft2 house in hours. It would be much stronger than you typical structure and would cost a bit less than what a standard pre-fab structure does. His examples are all boxy but he goes on to say that complex curvilinear structures are possible - it is CAD-driven. I found this surprisingly interesting.
