More on the Space Shuttle's final missions

CollectSpace reports on the Space Shuttle's final crew patch, which will commemorate the delivery of the Shuttles to their final resting places.  The patch was designed by pilot Jeff Moultrie who is the chief pilot of the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA).  The patches will be worn by Moultrie and his crew during next week's delivery of Discovery to Dulles Airport as well as the later flights of Enterprise (to New York) and Endeavour (to Los Angeles).  Credit also has to be given to NASA JSC artist Cindy Bush who executed the design.  The design depicts all the aircraft involved in the deliveries:  the three Shuttles, the SCA, a pair of T-38s, and C9 Patchfinder.  The latter will photo document the flights.

Meanwhile, NASA HQ is posting photos of the final preparations to move Discovery.
