Untitled, a photo by Kemon01 on Flickr.
Never heard of this before.  From Kemon01's description:
Before satellite TV and cable, there was Stratovision. Surplus B-29 bombers could broadcast signals for over 200 miles from a 28-foot fold-down antenna while flying at 30,000 feet. It was estimated that 14 planes could reach 78 percent of the people in the United States for important broadcasts.
