When it's 3th and long, you sometimes fall back to Plan B

And, for NASA, Plan B is Shuttle-C (still? again?). ZZakk's Lab point's out that the timing of this realization is odd. That is, it was revealed during the Augustine Commission's review of Ares I. Take that Team Direct.

I'm shaking my head. I am sure there is a down side (there always is). However, at first glance this make too much sense. I probably should watch the latest SpaceVidCast.

Clark Lindsey has a bullet-summary of NASA's presentation, which indicates their current approach is not exactly Shuttle-C. More on DiscoveryNews.
