I think I'll start a new series of posts. The number '1' doesn't indicate that this is the most stupid mistake I've made, it's just the first I've documented here. I hope this new series of posts doesn't grow too fast!
To provide a fixture to hold my Tarkus II as the primer dried, I clamped a spent 29mm motor in my vise. I had it at about a 45 degree angle, and all was well. When I went to glue on the spent 24mm motors that will (may?) hold ballast, I adjusted it so the rocket was parallel to the ground. I cranked down a bit more, knowing that the torque would be higher. All was again well until I bumped it, at which point it fell out of the vise. :eek: Of course, what epoxy wasn't on the floor had crud in it.
