Estes:
E12-0,4,6,8
24mm x 95mm
27.24 Newton-seconds Total Impulse
33.29 Newtons Peak Thrust
11.17 Newtons Average Thrust
Propellant mass: 35.9 grams

PS - The question mark in the title means I'm anxious to hear more. Is it an E9 with a smaller nozzle? What's the projected availability? What other 'stealth' motors are in the pipeline?

I think you mean a smaller Nozzle.
ReplyDeleteDon't know for sure, but I guessing this is a BP motor. The Estes guy didn't say anything on the record at NARAM but offline he said Estes had some bigger BP motors coming out. Since it the same size a E-9 and has almost the same propellent mass 35.8 vs 35.9 I guessing it a tune up E9. Another clue is there aren't any 0 aerotech's while there was a E9 -0 which was test but never release since it had very limited use as a booster motor.
I hope they keep the E9 as it a cool BP motor and E12-0 to E9-8 would be supper cool.
Bruce, ditto an all accounts. You're right about the nozzle. I think I had b14's on the mind...which also had a core. Ooops.
ReplyDeleteI welcome the E12 but to be honest would also rather have the E9 if I had to choose. Now, if it were an E20, maybe that would be different. But, that's just me. I hope they keep both!
