  1. Want... but I would probably burn them. Got into an argument a few years ago about burning vs keeping vintage motors. To me, they are made to burn and deserve to meet their destiny in a rocket. But these are probably cato factories at this point.

  2. Agreed! If one blew my rocket up I'd build another and fly the rest. However, I might save them for special occasions :)

  3. I used more FSI D18 and D20 motors 'cause that's how I am, but the E60 was my hands down favorite.

Despite topping out at 234 motors in inventory just a few years ago, including many of vintage status if not outright antique, I maintain that I am NOT a collector. I'm a consumer with issues. If a motor was dear, I'll preserve the empty.
Rocket motors should be all they can be, hot stinky and suddenly much lighter.
    Hooray destiny!

  4. As someone that made these motors, unless they have been kept in a very stable temperature and humidity I would not put these in a nice rocket if you fly it. Larger BP motors are prone to damage by shock or temp/humidity changes. Composite motors are more forgiving in that aspect, just not as impressive.

  5. The photo was embedded from some other person's Flickr account - I'm not fortunate enough to have even seen one in person. I have heard the history of the larger BP motors but would gladly build something as a sacrifice :)
